Fourteen years ago, Rachel took an art class that reignited her passion for creating art. Through additional classes and experimentation with a variety of media, she found herself drawn most often to colored pencil, soft pastels, and acrylic paint. After initially focusing on nature and portraits, she eventually felt compelled to create works of art with deeper meaning that symbolically represented the complexity and nuance presented by challenges in her life.
