About Barn Dreams, Shoemaker said, “Barn Dreams represents the metamorphosis that occurs when we dream. While something maybe altogether recognizable in a dream, it also maybe so different than in the natural world that we feel displaced by its presence and seek to understand a different meaning than during the day. For centuries, human have asked, “Why did I dream this?” The answers have led changes in individuals, communities and societies. My first memories of barnyards come from lying in tall grass on hot summer days at my grandparents’ farm in Red Bluff, California. Barn Dreams is about the nexus between nostalgia, memories, reality/unreality and dreams we hope for.”
