This piece explores the vulnerability and beauty of transformation. The male figure, with his back turned, invites the viewer into a moment of quiet emergence. His wings—part human, part something more—break through his back, a physical manifestation of inner change. The bright, radiant colors surrounding him suggest both pain and release, the energy of becoming. His seated position, leaning back on his hands, reflects a state of surrender—resting in the in-between, neither fully human nor fully something else. This work captures the tension between struggle and freedom, inviting the viewer to consider the discomfort and radiance that come with transformation.
