by Maddie Lytle
Maddie Lytle is an art student who specializes in portraiture. She is getting her BFA in studio art from Brigham Young University. As an artist, she considers herself a storyteller. Her paintings are stories, either ones she has heard or ones she has lived. Her philosophy is, in the words of Maya Angelou, that “there is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you.” For this reason, she makes her art.
