Author’s note: “This is an experiment with forced line reading. I consider the piece a poem, but I am more interested in what the gif format does to the poetic line or to the line in general, what the gif format does to language; I don’t care about genre balkanization. We have plenty of experience with gifs as images, and I wanted to see the same thing happen with words. I feel that the piece is a merry-go-round; you can hope on at any point and depending when or where you hop on the experience will change, because you might have hopped on next to me or perhaps you hopped on across from me. that’s going to make a difference to the both of us.”
