I do not doubt, for one moment,
that I was right to stay
        (vows before God,
        promises made in solemn sincerity,
are not to be discarded just because
        they turn unpleasant)
I do not regret, for one moment,
the reconciliations
        (children of God,
husbands embraced in love for eternity,
are not to be discarded just because
        they turn unpleasant)
I do not forget, for one moment,
the commitment printed
(in black and blue over my body)
