Sarah Stoddard is a senior in the BFA studio arts program currently living in Meridian, Idaho. She loves music, reading, animated movies, and documentaries about animals. In her collages she mixes images she associates with memory and imagination to create 2D daydreams—nonsensical scenes, odd pairings, curious encounters, personal sanctuaries. She finds inspiration and imagery in anything from family history to reference books and 90s children’s television programs. Her work is about finding solace in the familiar and making the familiar feel fantastic.
